Feeling Good is a cabaret show from Sue Bluck's Quartet celebrating women who sing and play piano. The music moves from Peggy Lee, Nina Simone and Diana Krall to Carole King and Norah Jones, with stories woven through the songs to explore each artist's work and life. Sue Bluck leads from piano and vocals, joined by guitarist John Pin, bassist Joe Powell and drummer Garry Howard, who all contribute vocals. The musicians bring backgrounds in jazz, blues, soul, funk, rock and contemporary music. Together they treat the program as both a concert and a narrated journey through several distinct songwriters and performers.
