Catherine Summers leads Summers Sound System through pop from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, Motown favourites and current chart songs. The base line-up combines voice, guitar, drums, bass and piano, with saxophone and electronic synth available as additions. Songs associated with ABBA, The Bee Gees, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Daft Punk, Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, Amy Winehouse and Jamiroquai all sit within the repertoire. The band adds small arrangement changes to familiar material rather than reproducing each recording exactly. Catherine's audience interaction and lead vocals keep the dancefloor focus clear throughout the set.
