Sun of Africa

Sun Of Africa Drum & Dance Ensemble have been performing West African drumming, dance and mask theatre in Adelaide since 2011. The mask work is the part audiences remember, particularly the Zaouli and Sapro dances. They've performed at WOMADelaide, the Adelaide Fringe and the State's Multicultural Awards, and they take the same programme into corporate events, festivals, schools and private functions. Workshops sit alongside the shows, so a school or a workplace can learn the rhythms and the steps rather than only watch them.
