Sun of Africa is a dancer from Adelaide, South Australia.
West African drumming, dance and mask theatre are the core of Sun Of Africa Drum & Dance Ensemble, Adelaide's leading troupe in the style. Formed in 2011, the group has appeared at WOMADelaide, Adelaide Fringe and the state's Multicultural Awards, with the Zaouli and Sapro mask dances among its signature pieces. The ensemble of musicians and dancers builds performances to suit corporate bookings, festivals, schools and private parties. Workshops and interactive sessions sit alongside the performances, aimed at community engagement and cultural education.
