Suzanne Petersen

Suzanne Petersen writes songs that come out folk one minute, pop the next, blues and roots most of the time, with a jazz chanteuse turn thrown in. What holds them together is a subtle, expressive vocal and lyrics drawn from a life with its ups and downs. She sings and plays piano, and plays flute over guitar accompaniment when the brief calls for something soft and ambient, where Jobim tunes sit beautifully. Solo works, but she is happiest with players around her, and the band can go from soul and blues to full jazz with a drummer in the mix. Based at Newtown near Geelong. Insured.
