The forties and fifties, played straight and played well. Swing Central work the years when jazz became popular music in the hands of Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong, and the point is to recreate that mood rather than send it up. Brad Leaver handles the crooning vocals, backed by some of Brisbane's better musicians. Older guests tend to recognise the songs from the first time around. Younger ones have usually only seen this stuff in black and white. Either way it fills a dance floor with couples. Suits corporate events, cocktail functions, weddings, special occasions and venue bookings.
