SWING SISTERS
Based in Perth
About this act
Zalia Joi, Samantha Hicks and Amy Ehlers sing close harmony music from the 1940s as the Swing Sisters. Their three voice arrangements take their cue from groups such as the Andrews Sisters, supported by prepared backing tracks and period styled costumes. The trio has performed for audiences including the International Women's Day Inauguration and We Bring Joy celebration. Training, rehearsal and visual presentation all matter to the act, giving the songs a clear period character rather than treating them as ordinary covers. The result is a compact vocal group for events that want swing era music and coordinated vintage styling together.
