Sydney Lion Dance

The Sydney Lion Dance Team traces back more than forty years, performing traditional Southern lion dances out of a Chinese kung fu school. Beyond the performance itself, the dances carry cultural weight, traditionally believed to bring luck and prosperity to the event they're performed at. Weddings, Chinese New Year celebrations, schools, festivals and corporate functions have all featured the team's shows over that history.
