Sydney Polynesian Band

This Sydney group takes an audience across the South Pacific, and the programme can be built to suit your event. There's a traditional welcoming speech delivered as a war dance chant by a single performer, drum dances, action songs, a New Zealand Maori show with haka and poi, Hawaiian hula, a Samoan siva and slap dance, the fire dance, and Tahitian tamure. Most pieces are available with male dancers, female dancers or both. The music side uses ukulele, acoustic guitar, bass and congas alongside authentic tokere drums, and when the drummers play in unison the sound fills a room like a much larger band.
