A harp does something to a ceremony that a string quartet cannot quite match, and this Sydney player has built a repertoire wide enough to let you choose your own direction, traditional or modern. Ceremony music, processionals, pop arrangements, all of it sits inside the song list. The practical side is handled too. A small amplifier travels with the harp, hidden under ivory cloth and dressed with white flowers, so no power point is needed and there are no leads across the floor. That means the harp can go wherever it looks best, indoors or out. It also works well for receptions, pre dinner drinks, engagements and birthdays.
