Talitha Huston

Talitha Huston self-published Birds of the Perth Hills and then went out and sold 7,000 copies of it, doing her own promotion. She's an award-winning author, photographer and film maker, and she's spoken at more than 50 libraries, community groups and schools, reaching well over a thousand people in person plus radio audiences. She drove around Australia, lived out of her ute in Byron Bay for six months and backpacked the world for another eight. The school talks lean on all of it, with one message: give it a go. She also runs informational sessions on the book, bird watching and photography. Needs a projector, screen, microphone and speakers.
