Tchega is a band from Perth, Western Australia.
Reunion Island and Madagascar sit behind the Creole folk songs Carole Katz writes and fronts with her band Tchega. Tao Issaro plays rhythm, Nathan Joseph takes island-flavoured bass, and Ridge Moss on guitar and Adrien Joseph on saxophone round out a sound built from Indian Ocean tradition . The band has played Perth Festival, Fremantle Arts Centre, Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, World Music Cafe, Jambo Africa Festival, Belmont Harmony Festival, George St Festival and Toodyay Festival.
