Terraplane and the Hudson Horns

Hobart has had Terraplane playing blues since around 1990, and the line-up now runs to six with the Hudson Horns on trumpet and tenor sax. Sonny Boy Williamson, Paul Butterfield, Paul DeLay and Taj Mahal sit behind the sound, but the set travels further than that: Chicago classics, the swing of Texas and the West Coast, then modern players like Jason Ricci and Carlos Del Junco, with the odd Tom Waits number and a stray jazz or ballad turn. Vocals and harmonica lead, backed by guitar, bass and drums. Originals sit alongside the covers.
