Terry Ryder

Property research runs through a career that started in 1982, when Terry Ryder was appointed property editor of The Courier Mail in Brisbane. A move to property correspondent and acting property editor at the Australian Financial Review followed, before Terry Ryder spent twenty years running an independent research and publicity firm for developers, agencies and valuers. Four books on the Australian real estate industry came out of that period. The website hotspotting.com.au, founded in 2006, turned that research into subscription reports for property investors, and a twice-weekly column for The Australian ran for four years before Terry Ryder moved to Property Observer as a columnist. Radio and television appearances on real estate topics have included several national current affairs programs. Speaking engagements have taken Terry Ryder to seminars and conferences in Whyalla, Gladstone, Newcastle, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
