The Apocalypso Orchestra is a 7 piece group built around trumpet, saxophone, trombone and steel drums. Ricki Malet, Ben Collins and Blake Phillips form the horn line, with Damon McNish on steel drums, Mace Francis on guitar, Wayne Slater on bass and Greg Brenton on drums. Calypso favourite Limbo Rock sits beside the I Dream of Jeannie theme and unexpected calypso arrangements of Enter Sandman and Killing in the Name. That unusual song choice gives the band a playful edge while the brass and steel drums keep the sound tied to a strong dance rhythm.
