The Beehives

Miss Mandy, Lee and Tamara are The Beehives, a Gold Coast trio who sing and dance their way through the girl-group era. Each came to the group after a solo career, with contracts at Channel 7, casinos, theme parks and musical theatre productions in Australia and overseas. The show covers The Supremes, The Shirelles, The Ronettes, The Crystals and Martha and The Vandellas, then moves through Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin and Carole King, with a nod to the later mod sound of Amy Winehouse, Adele and Duffy. The dance crazes are part of it. Let's Twist Again, Land Of A Thousand Dances and Shake Your Tailfeather get the room on its feet. Beehive hair, make-up and costumes complete the picture. They're regular guest entertainers with Carnival Cruises, run a dinner-and-show format at Queensland clubs, and have played Brisbane City Hall's Morning Melodies, Twin Towns Showroom and the seniors concerts at HOTA.
