The Bluetones

Swing blues, five pieces, and a lineup drawn from Adelaide's blues scene: Michael Mann on keys and vocals, David Howlett on guitar and vocals, Mark Winston on blues harp and vocals, Rob Eyers on drums, Tony Borg on bass. The material goes deeper than the usual blues covers list, with Freddie King, Little Walter, Big Walter Horton, Rod Piazza and Hollywood Fats all in there. The Bluetones have been regulars at the Semaphore Workers Club, Memphis Slims House of Blues and The Gov, which is about as good a grounding as an Adelaide blues band can have. Expect a dance floor rather than a listening room.
