Five players, decades of live experience between them, and a set list that runs from the eighties to now. The Breakaways lean into Australian rock, so the songs of AC/DC, The Angels, Australian Crawl, Baby Animals, Choirboys, Divinyls, Dragon, Mondo Rock, Rose Tattoo, The Screaming Jets, Sherbet and Powderfinger all turn up, sitting alongside Bruno Mars, Pink and Sneaky Sound System. Beyond the standard show they also offer a Just 80's Show and an Aussie Rock Show, either of which gives a themed night its own spine. Thumping drums, driving bass, strong vocals, nothing fancy about the description because nothing needs to be.
