Honky tonk and western swing, played by six people who mean it. The Brunswick Troubadours pull their set list from the 40s, 50s and 60s: Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Wanda Jackson, Norma Jean, Jean Shepard, Junior Brown, Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams, and they play it straight rather than ironically, which is why it lands with people who don't otherwise listen to country. Fist City, Walking After Midnight, I Fall To Pieces, Blue Moon Of Kentucky and Will The Circle Be Unbroken are all in the book. They work Melbourne and the surrounding towns. On the technical side they need three vocal mics, foldback, and DIs for guitar, baritone, double bass and pedal steel.
