The Caine Cutters

Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf. That's the well The Caine Cutters Blues Band draw from, along with T-Bone Walker's smoother side and the hypnotic pull of Albert King and Bo Diddley. Six players out of the north coast, and you'll find them regularly at the Bangalow Markets, the Byron Bay Services Club and the Nimbin Hotel. Their sample list runs through Sweet Home Chicago, Stormy Monday, Smokestack Lightning, Spoonful and Kansas City Blues. They bring their own PA. If you'd rather they used yours, it needs twelve channels and at least two foldback monitors alongside the front of house speakers, plus a stage that fits six.
