The Cuban Experience plays traditional Cuban son with guitar, tiple and percussion. Keko leads the trio on vocals and guitar, joined by Oscar Poncell and Guillermo Willy Virán. A visit to Cuba inspired the group’s formation and its interest in keeping an earthy folk sound. Congas, bongos and shared vocals carry the music’s dance rhythms.
