About this act
Three players, an enormous amount of sound. The Dawn Birds bring together Cameron Goodall, formerly of The Audreys, with Quincy Grant and Gareth Chin of Golonka, and they stack three-part harmonies over accordion, baritone guitar, bass clarinet, banjo and whatever else the song wants. The material is folk, blues and country covers: Sam Cooke, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Hank Williams, Roy Orbison, Tom Waits, Neil Young. Sweet and soulful in the background, or singalong and dancing when you ask for it. Adelaide based, one or two sets, and requests from the list are welcome. Full public liability insurance.
