Shuffles that swing, grooves that sit right back, and slow blues with real ache in it. Diamond Dave's harmonica and Dave Brewer's guitar front The Doodaddies, with Yugon Chobanoff on drums and John Wilson on bass underneath. Perth based, and the band has played gigs at home and festivals abroad, sharing stages with Buddy Guy and Charlie Musselwhite along the way. Three albums are out and streaming. The songs draw on Bobby Blue Bland, Bo Diddley, Robert Johnson, Percy Sledge, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson and the rest of that lineage, mixed with originals. They bring their own gear for local shows, though it helps to know in advance if the venue has no PA.
