Irish born Richard Neill started out solo in Australia in 2018, then joined forces with Gold Coast veterans Josh Paish on drums and Ryan Grantham on bass in 2021. The result is The Drunken Midnight Choir, a folk rock trio based on the Gold Coast. Two experienced local players behind a songwriter is a good formula, and it shows in how settled the band sounds. Suits a pub, a festival stage or an event that wants something with actual songs at the centre.
