The Fed Peasants

Six players out of Adelaide: guitar, bass, piano, violin, percussion and voice. The Fed Peasants write their own songs, mostly upbeat folk with jazz, blues, bossa nova and 60s pop working their way in around the edges. The lyrics do real work, and the harmonies are where the group is at its best, with the violin and piano carrying a lot of the colour underneath. Titles include Urban Tonic, Flight, Rat Race, Ship in the Sky and One Black Violin, plus the odd cover. Danceable, but there's something to listen to as well. They can bring everything for a smaller function; a bigger room will need extra PA.
