The Graduates

Vocals, saxophone, piano, double bass and drums, played by musicians with more than twenty years between them on Sydney's wedding and corporate circuit. The Graduates handle a whole day rather than one slot: ceremony music for the processional, signing and recessional, background sets through canapes and dinner, then something with a bit more push behind it once speeches wrap. That last stretch leans on jazz-flavoured soul and Motown, which is a sensible way to warm a floor before a DJ takes over. Smaller line-ups are available for ceremonies and cocktail hour, including a piano and double bass duo or a classic jazz trio, all drawn from the same core group. They hold public liability insurance.
