The Healys

The Healys brought their music from Ireland to Australia in 1998 and have developed a modern take on folk out of traditional Irish roots. A residency at J.B. O'Reilly's sits alongside a set list that ranges from Irish classics through contemporary Irish rock and pop to well-known hits from further afield, plus original songs of the band's own. Credits include performing for Irish President Michael D. Higgins in 2017, playing Irish venues such as Kavanagh's in Portlaoise and Casey's in Kinsale, and appearances at the International Rules games between Ireland and Australia. The band also took part in The Vast Project, a Pilbara-based collaboration that produced an album, a documentary and a series of art works, later performing as the house band at its concert.
