Newcastle band, 60s rock and roll, and a bit of soul running underneath it. The Lamplighters play covers from the era where nearly every song was built for dancing, which is why a function room tends to fill up early rather than after the second set. There's a cheekiness to how they pitch themselves, and that carries onto the stage. Good for a birthday, a club night, or anything where the crowd remembers the originals from the first time around.
