It isn't sold as impersonation. Peters sings the material in his own way and lets the songs carry the weight, which is a fair call when the list spans rock, country, folk, pop and soul. What holds it together is the run of songs themselves, most of them the kind people have known for decades and younger crowds keep finding. A warm front man and a band that can genuinely cover that much ground.
