About this act
The Mistletones is a Perth a cappella quartet led by jazz vocalist Libby Hammer. Since forming for Christmas in 1997, the group has built a seasonal repertoire that moves from big band Santa songs and 1950s doo-wop to traditional favourites and comic numbers for children. Expect close harmony, jazz phrasing and a sense of humour rather than a formal carol service. The quartet has performed for the City of Perth, Princess Margaret Hospital, Perth Jazz Society and Jazz Fremantle, as well as business functions. Songs include The Christmas Song, Old Toy Trains and Christmas on the Beach in Mandurah, with local lyrical touches adding to the Australian summer feel.
