Sydney's classic bar band have been at it since 2014, and the list of places they've played reads like a dare: town halls, theatres, pubs, weddings, charity gigs, corporate events, beer festivals, boats, carparks, backyards, a back alley or two, and one basketball arena. Their own ticketed shows tend to sell out. The Pragmatics describe themselves as tight rather than slick, authentic rather than a replica, and that's a fair summary of what four-part harmonies over six decades of soul, rock, country, pop and indie actually sounds like. They work as a four-piece, a five with keys, or a seven with horns or strings. Insured.
