Gathered from around the globe, five musicians who do the classic hits faithfully and mix in the better contemporary material. Gary Philpott sings lead, with Scott Shelley, Lee Carroll, Mario Merlini and Jon Callander behind him on grooves and driving rhythm. The award winning ensemble also draws on their tribute shows, which gives the repertoire more depth than a straight covers list. And they read a room properly. The Retronomes can go loud when the night wants it or sit quietly in the background when it does not.
