The Sailor Gals is a stilt walker from Western Australia.
Hula hoops, lasso rope tricks, diablo, acrobalance and juggling run through this circus troupe's roving show, all set to accordion and backing tracks with a nautical theme. A theatre-style staged version exists alongside the roving format, so the performers can work a seated room as easily as they weave through a standing crowd. Costumes, choreography, music and rehearsals form part of the preparation for performances. Beyond the circus format, The Sailor Gals also work as stilt walkers, adding height to the same nautical characters for outdoor or festival settings.
