The S.O.D.S: The Songs Of Dire Straits

Dire Straits songs, played by a Sydney four-piece with funk and punk pushed through them. The S.O.D.S aren't interested in note-for-note reproduction of one of rock's great catalogues, so the ballads keep their atmosphere while the guitar solos get more fire than the records had. They can strip it back for an acoustic set or run it full electric, depending on the venue and how the night is meant to feel. Precision playing underneath, but there's real appetite in it. Sultans of Swing has rarely sounded like this.
