The Upside Duo

Mitchell Cordingley and Sophia Berlyn met somewhere between two solo careers. He's a Newcastle Conservatorium trained guitarist who runs a loop pedal based solo act and has backed plenty of other musicians. She's been gigging for years as a singer-songwriter and released a debut single in 2019. Together the set moves from Stevie Wonder and Amy Winehouse through to Amy Shark and Billie Eilish, old and new sitting comfortably side by side. They've played the Flying Tiger and the Junction Hotel, and the thing people mention is how well they read the mood of a room and shift with it.
