Four experienced Australian players make up The Vauxhalls: Mark Lord on saxophone and vocals, Neil Cheverton on guitar and vocals, Mick Ellis on drums and vocals, and Leon Delander on bass and vocals. Between them they've come through Ol' 55, On the Prowl, Frogs on Toast and Tessa and the Twist Tops, and played stadiums, festivals, cruise ships and clubs. Everyone sings, which is the whole trick with fifties and sixties rock and roll: the harmonies and backing vocals carry the era. The name comes from the Vauxhall, the car most Australians of that generation associate with the drive-in and a Saturday night out.
