The Worm Turns
About this act
The Worm Turns are a Meanjin band with a heavy, unhurried sound, going after the heartache end of things rather than the party end. The line-up carries some serious history: Michelle Bowden on lead guitar and cello, previously with Gravelrash, Koko Uzi, CTC and Chopper Division; Cam Ricketts on drums, from IWII, FAT, Blowhard, AIM and God's Own Bullet; Ced Ingra on bass, also of Chopper Division, CTC, The Dates and Hateman; and Kate McCarthy on vocals and rhythm guitar, a visual artist as well. Melodies with weight, and a rhythm section that knows exactly what it's doing.
