Tim Jarvis

Expeditions, films, books and speaking engagements are how Tim Jarvis makes the case for action on climate change and biodiversity loss. Based in Adelaide, he advises governments, corporations and advocacy groups on sustainability strategy. He founded The Forktree Project, a native revegetation program on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula. His other roles have included Global Ambassador and Governor with WWF, an ambassadorship for Save Our Marine Life focused on the Southern Ocean, and the vice presidency of Flora and Fauna International. He became a member of the Order of Australia in 2010, recognising his contribution to the environment, community and exploration, and in 2024 South Australia named him its Australian of the Year.
