Tom Fisher & The Layabouts

Tom Fisher and the Layabouts won WAM's Song of the Year for Blues and Roots in 2019, and they've been a fixture of the WA touring and festival circuit ever since. The sound is southern-leaning country blues rock, with Tom Petty, Springsteen and Steve Earle in the background and Fisher's own songwriting doing the heavy lifting. The line-up is stacked with experienced Western Australian players. A set can go from a heartbreaking country ballad to a screeching slide guitar stomper, and festivals keep asking them back for exactly that reason. Fremantle based.
