Hobart's Trio MRJ blends jazz and gypsy influences across bass, guitar and vocals. Rick plays bass, bringing the group's grooves; Javier plays guitar, adding gypsy-inflected and jazz-leaning melodies after a decade based in Hobart; and Mess sings the group's gypsy jazz repertoire in French, English and Spanish.
