Tropical Strength

Brothers Alastair and Russell Webster front Tropical Strength, an art rock outfit from up and down the New South Wales South Coast that swells anywhere from two members to eight. The songs are built from memories, confessions and fleeting revelations, layered into something like a warped house of mirrors. Their newest release is an eight-minute poem called Ode To Nowra, spoken over a sprawling atmospheric arrangement with harp, violin, guitar, piano, drums, slide guitar and harmonies from the Angels. Wollongong based, and the newest record was made to catch the spontaneity of the live band.
