Tropicalia Latin Band is a Latin band from Perth, Western Australia.
Perth's Tropicalia builds its sound from Afro-Cuban salsa, bachata, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton and Latin pop, with members drawn from across South America, from Colombia to Chile. Congas, trumpets, drums, electric guitars, piano, guiro and diatonic accordion sit behind three vocalists who switch between Spanish, English and Portuguese. The line-up scales from four players to nine depending on the event, and the band has arranged Artist Work Visas and entertainer permits for touring international singers. Perth venues in their history include the Ellington Jazz Club, Eve at Crown, the Rosemount Hotel and Perth Mess Hall, alongside local and international festivals.
