About this act
Nathan and Michelle build their sets around originals, roughly seven songs in ten, and it shows in the writing. Two Tears in a Bucket work in blues and roots, taking old Piedmont and Delta picking styles and running them through punk, funk and rock grooves. The covers that fill the rest come from blues standards, old cabaret numbers and bluegrass. As a duo they lean on a stomp box for the low end, and they'll expand to three pieces with drums, or four with bass added. They've played major venues and festivals around the country and shared bills with Mason Rack, Z Star Trinity, Salt n Steel and Lecia Louise. They bring a PA for small to medium rooms, plus their own carpet. Public liability insurance is in place.
