About this act
Twelve musicians, two horns and a rhythm section, which is roughly the shape Van Morrison himself has always favoured. That's the point of this show. It started back in 2009 as a small local covers group and grew into a full band built around the Morrison catalogue, drawing on the hits, the ballads and the dance numbers rather than the obscure corners. Frontman David McCall comes from the same part of Belfast as Morrison and has sung all his life, with early years spent as a roadie and backing singer in 1970s London before a move to Australia. Good fit for a theatre, a club show or a function where the crowd wants songs they can actually sing along to.
