Hip hop producer and DJ, originally from Brazil and now based in Naarm, Melbourne. Walla C has a distinctive percussive style, with intricate synths and clear debts to jazz, funk and Afro Brazilian music. His live beat sets on the Roland SP555 are spontaneous and complex, mixing his own material with reworks of contemporary classics. The DJ sets are a different animal again, rhythm driven and moving between afrobeat, trap, raw baile funk and tropical bass. Two quite different bookings from one artist.
