Jordan Deck spent more than a decade in house music under his own name before launching XUJA to chase something wider: global electronic music built on traditional rhythms and cultural textures. That direction came partly out of Mahico, the world music and cultural festival he co-founded in the Northern Rivers, where he's supported and toured Martha Van Straaten, Chancha Vía Circuito, Rodrigo Gallardo, Hermanos Gutiérrez, Barrio Lindo, Kusht and Maugli. Melbourne based, with a deep connection to a dance floor.
